I started fly fishing when I was around 11 years old and have been fly- fishing and tying flies now for over 48 years.  I also was very fortunate as a youngster to have an elderly gentleman who tied flies, and who had forty years of fly fishing experience to his credit, take me under his wing so to speak, when I told him I wanted to learn how to fly fish and tie flies.  I have fished various streams and rivers throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and Vermont in all types of conditions over the years.  I owned and operated a tackle shop and sporting goods store and am familiar with all of the different products on the market for attaching leaders to fly lines etc.  When my calendar permits, I also give instructions on fly fishing, fly casting, and fly tying.
